The County of Orange offers Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, allowing you to set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible expenses.
The Health Care Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA) covers eligible health expenses, such as copays, orthodontia, and eyeglasses.
After enrolling, you'll receive a pre-loaded debit card for use on eligible expenses starting the first day of the plan year. Expenses must be incurred by year-end. In 2026, up to $680 of unused funds can roll over if you re-enroll during open enrollment.
The Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA) covers qualified dependent care, including care for children under 13, incapacitated children, or elderly dependents. Expenses must be incurred during the plan year; unused funds are forfeited, as rollovers are not allowed.
